Oral history interviews conducted for Arts of Citizenship programs including "2001 Hastings Street" about Detroit's Black Bottom area in the 1940s, the "Hallelujah Project" with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, and "Homelands: Michigan Central" about Detroit's Michigan Central train station. Also recordings of lectures and performances based on the interviews, and radio documentaries produced with Michigan Public radio including coming of age during Detroit's 1967 riots, Listening to Youth, and David Scobey.

Liz Lerman (born 1947 in Los Angeles, CA) is an American choreographer and founder of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. She attended Bennington College, where she studied under Martha Wittman, who would later become a company member of Dance Exchange. She graduated received her B.A. in dance from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in dance from George Washington University.
